First clinical install of the Mk II generator
Mk II generator deployed at a dermatology outpatient suite. Post-install survey shows −89% peak 2.4GHz amplitude. Staff report no perceptible change to wifi performance.
Context
The Mk II generator targets clinical environments where ambient 2.4GHz noise is a known confound for patient outcomes research. This is the first deployment outside our own lab.
Method
- 01Pre-install RF survey across 12 floor-plan grid points using a calibrated spectrum analyzer.
- 02Generator mounted ceiling-center in the largest treatment room.
- 03Post-install survey repeated at the same grid points, 48 hours later.
Findings
- ▸Peak 2.4GHz amplitude dropped 89% averaged across grid points.
- ▸Drop is uniform across the room — no shadow zones detected.
- ▸Staff report no perceptible degradation in wifi performance for clinical tablets.
Next steps
Repeat the survey at 30 days to confirm stability, and add a second install at a comparison clinic next quarter.
